I have been involved with electronics all of my working life from the very early days, pre personal computers and mobile phones.Having been part of a two man team we developed a new data encoding system for the NASA SKYLAB program for the European Space Agency in the late 1970's I was invited to become the UK representative at NASA. However I decided to remain in the UK and establish my own electronics company, Avalon Electronics Ltd.The business designs and manufactures specialised recording systems, using S-VHS Tape and Hard Disk Drive for government organisations around the world. It has worked with all the "Three Letters Agancies" in the USA.Working with NATS the business has also been responsible for designing and manufacturing the Air Traffic Control Recording Systems installed in all major Airports in the UK including Heathrow and Gatwick.This year in an attempt to have more time to peruse other ideas and interests, I handed the compsny over to my engineers to reward them for their loyalty and dedication over many years.I established Avalon Microwave Receivers Ltd to facilitate the new technology innovations and ideas that were formulating from my in-depth knowledge of electronics and intelligence gathering technology.
