We saw the opportunity to apply the Gabitat core concept of integrating multiple business applications to an new market - the mobile device sales, insurance, logistics and service industry - with an entirely new technology stack. With Cellbie the emphasis is on bringing the myriad applications and services used to deliver mobile devices to consumers into a single, easy to use, workflow oriented user interface.For Cellbie I've built a new client/server application using modern web development tools: Python, Bottle, greenlets, Redis, Elastic, JQuery, Bootstrap, and MCE's Client API. I'm also using some pretty great tools to develop Cellbie, including PyCharm, Mercurial, Git, XenServer, and my old favourite TextWrangler. Cellbie runs on CentOS in Rackspace. The result is a fast and scalable service, web delivered, with a modern UI. It is fully customizable for each customer in terms of user roles, visual branding, language, and workflow processes. I ran the engineering department that develops the FirstClass and Open Text Social Workplace products, including 4 development teams, a QA team, and a documentation team - about 45 people in total.

Growth at Centrinity led to my promotion to manager of the Protocol Modules team. We built Internet Services, which implemented HTTP, SMTP, POP3, etc. for FirstClass. My group also did Voice Services which added telephony integration to FC, Directory Services which added integration to LDAP & AD, Sync Services which added Active Sync and SyncML, FC Personal, FC Palm Conduits, and Media Services which added screen sharing and VoIP conferencing to FC.

Worked on a Solaris version of the FirstClass gateway toolkit and Post Office Migrator for Win/Mac. Joined FC server team as lead Mac developer. Moved to team leader of FC Internet Services module which I helped develop into a stable component of the FC server.

Worked on Novell's MHS messaging system. Worked on several releases of the MHS server software (DOS), and eventually became lead developer on MHS Personal. Hired and worked with a consultant on a Macintosh port of MHSP. Built modem handling code for NLM-based replacement for MHS.

I developed device driver software under UNIX that allowed CL's terminal emulator cards to work on UNIX mini/micro computers.

I started with BNR as a coop student working on porting a T1 switching product from mini computers to proprietary NT micros and moving the switch from satellite based to land based slow switches. I then worked fulltime on various products, notably ACD Max a port of automatic call distribution reporting software from minis to micros.
