The FirstClass Division at OpenText was a self-contained business unit with P&L responsibility for the FirstClass Collaboration suite and for OpenText Social Workplace (OTSW). Both applications were leading edge “cloud-based” collaborative communication solutions. The division profitably delivered $15M of revenue with a staff of approximately 80 professionals. During my time at Open Text, I held positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Services, Director of Product Management and divisional Vice President and General Manager.

My 18 years at Nortel were split evenly between Carrier and Enterprise divisions.The Messaging Division was part of Nortel’s Enterprise Networks organization and was responsible for both Enterprise and Carrier Unified Communications (UC) product lines, including Meridian Mail, CallPilot and Norstar Voicemail. The Division profitably delivered $150M in revenue with a staff of up to 200 professionals. While a member of the Enterprise Networks team I held positions including Senior Manager and Director of Operations, Program Manager for Nortel's VoIP initiative and General Manager of the Messaging Division.The Carrier Networks Division developed and delivered solutions for global voice and data carriers. Over the course of eight years in Carrier Networks I held diverse positions in Manufacturing Engineering, ISDN Technology and even a one-year stint in Human Resources.
