I co-headed the organisation of the campaign of a European political party for the Dutch Parliament elections (Nov. 2023) in the city with their largest constituents’ base. Key responsibilities: campaign strategy, operational management, coordinating events, mobilising volunteers, liaising with candidates and local organisations, monitoring budget.

In f2f meetings (often assisted by a translator) I advised asylum holders on their family reunification requests based on e.g. Article 8 ECHR; responsible for the coordination of the entire process (including contact with local embassies, the Dutch immigration services etc.). Tasks also involved advising on questions relating to the residency of status holders, including naturalisation requests.

Together with a team of visiting and community volunteers, I provided direct help to displaced people living in the refugee camp on Lesbos. Tasks included waste management, assistance with WASH coordination, food distribution and teaching. Devised and raised funds for a “Hot Spot” project aiming to create a safe, warm community space for (and run by) people living in the camp. Raised a total of approx. €20k for the organisation.
