I have recently transitioned into a career in research after enjoying over 10 years of instructing, competing, and performing in my sport (Martial Arts Tricking). I completed my Honours in Psychological Science in 2022, where my focus was investigating the psychometric properties of the Brief Social Rhythm Scale. My research was interdisciplinarily synthesizing the daily behaviors that impact the circadian system and then assessing the reliability and validity of a measure that is widely used in large-N studies.My previous roles have largely revolved around teaching people skills and analyzing them or their situations in order to help them. When I work with clients I've found I'm most influential and effective when I act primarily through my core values of ambition and knowledge, this means:- Setting achievable goals and striving toward them- Persevering when things get tough- Teaching them not only what to do but why they are doing itI have had the great opportunity to work in various start-ups and small businesses which have made me into a generalist; from managing relationships with clients, and selling to prospective clients, administration duties, and supervisory/leadership roles. I never thought being a 'jack of all trades was something to be proud of but now I can appreciate that I see businesses in a more integrated way.My greatest achievement as an athlete was doing the world's first cork-in back-out. During that time I also hosted national events, taught workshops in multiple countries, competed in and judged the biggest events internationally, and performed in live shows locally and internationally.
