I am the global head of legal for Citi's Issuer Services businesses. Issuer Services is one of the world's leading Depositary Receipts banks and provides a comprehensive range of agency and trustee services to almost any imaginable financing structure under a vast array of governing laws. In addition Issuer Services provides tailored cash and custody solutions to a broad range of clients with very specific needs. Taken together this represents an exceptionally broad product set. My team and I advise the business from the initial stages of product development, during documentation and throughout the lifecycle of transactions including litigation, amendment and restructuring as well as on proprietary M&A opportunities.I lead a diverse and talented global team handling very material legal, reputational and regulatory issues for one of the world’s leading banks. I have lived and worked on three continents and have supported Citi BCMA’s Sustainability and Corporate Transitions (aka ESG) team globally alongside Citi’s Issuer Services business. My experience prior to joining Citi includes advising corporates on M&A and equity fundraising, issuers on whole business securitisation, financial companies on complex derivatives and managers on CDOs. I am the Legal Business Rising Star In-House Counsel of the Year for 2016 and a "GC of tomorrow". I write and speak publicly on corporate trust issues in industry journals and conferences, sing in too many choirs, lead a group delivering ambulances, cranes and other aid to Ukraine and serve variously as chairman, trustee and committee member in numerous local charities.
