As a dedicated athlete with over 13 years of experience in Track and Field, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field of sports science and performance analysis. My athletic journey began in 2011, and since then, I have competed at both national and international levels, consistently achieving top honors and setting records.From 2015 to 2020, I dominated the 400m hurdles event at the school level, winning gold titles in every age category. My success continued on the national stage, where I secured titles in the 400m and 400m hurdles at the 99th National Athletic Championship in 2021. My international achievements include a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles at the 2018 South Asian Junior Athletic Championship and participation in the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas.Currently, as an undergraduate in Sports & Exercise Science at the University of Kelaniya, I am deepening my understanding of biomechanics, sports psychology, and exercise physiology. My role with a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) team has allowed me to contribute to performance analysis for athletes and support the selection of juniors for MAS Company’s junior athletic academy aimed at the 2028 Olympics.I am passionate about using my background in athletics and my academic pursuits to help future athletes improve their performance. My goal is to leverage my expertise in FMS and biomechanics to drive advancements in sports science while also striving to represent Sri Lanka at the international level again.Looking forward, I am excited to explore opportunities that will allow me to combine my competitive experience with my scientific knowledge to make a positive impact in the world of sports.
