From a personal project to predict whitewater stream flow in the Eastern United States, to field work experience in multiple low and middle income countries, I like to stay actively engaged with the world around me. I'm one of the founding team members of Global Parametrics and have worked for the company on four different continents. I most enjoy making beautiful maps and solving new and complex problems and puzzles at work. My current responsibilities are centered around GIS centered visualization and analysis, programming in R (including Shiny) , and network development for sales in the DC area. I'm gradually expanding this skill set to include programming in JavaScript, Python, and PostgreSQL.Outside of my professional interests, I'm an avid whitewater kayaker and cyclist, spending most of my weekends driving around the Eastern US chasing fast flowing rivers and other adventures. In 2018 I purchased blank slate of a cargo Van and converted it for full-time living, including state of the art solar technology and all of the luxuries of a tiny, high-quality apartment. I always have at least a project or three going at any given time to expand my skillsets and satiate my curiosity!
