Timothy H. Barnes practices law with Fletcher Barnes Law PLC in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1970 and received his JD, cum laude, from Arizona State University in 1973. Mr. Barnes’ practice involves a variety of commercial litigation matters (including real estate litigaation, contract issues, commercial landlord-tenant, collection, and commercial torts, as well as bankruptcy creditor, bankruptcy litigation and consumer collection matters). He is admitted to appear in the state and federal courts in Arizona, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Barnes has been an AV preeminent peer-rated attorney by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory since 1989. In 2019, Mr. Barnes received the Judicial AV Preeminent Rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and a “Distinguished Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory in 2021. He has frequently lectured and written on a variety of commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation and Fair Debt Collection Practice Act issues.
