Started in wire prep as a loader, basically I was matching wires to a diagram and screwing them into the correct spot. the lead and manager saw potential in me, and moved me to the lengths position. The main responsibility of the lengths position was to cross reference the wire diagrams with the relay panels elevation sheet to calculate the length of each wire. learned how to perform each of the jobs in the department within 6 months.Measurements (lengths) -> Label Making -> Wire cutting -> wire labeling -> wire crimping -> wire loading.Prior to the Area lead going on vacation I was chosen to learn his position responsibilities and fill in while he would be gone.Led and managed Wire prep department for short time.
