Sat in my sixth form common room, aged 17, I spotted an opportunity. I had no idea where to start, but I knew that my friends and I were all spending a lot of money learning to drive and getting on the road with our first cars - there had to be a business here somewhere, I thought.Twenty years later, FirstCar (www.firstcar.co.uk / www.firstcarmedia.co.uk) is the UK's leading young driver brand. We produce two million FirstCar magazines each year, which every new driver receives when taking their theory and driving tests.
