After school, I spent three years over-delivering CBS radio sales promotion expectations for local and national clients. I learned to lead intern and part-time promotions staff to seamlessly present web content, on-air copy, contests and on-site event elements with account executives to meet sales goals. I enjoyed partnering with the fundraising clients, so I jumped at the opportunity to support marketing and development at a local Minnesota food bank.At Emergency Foodshelf Network, I led food drive marketing, web site transition, direct mail campaigns and media relations to increase brand awareness and donations. I supported board and leadership during an executive director transition. My journey into self-directed work teams and the importance of cross-departmental communication began. After stabilizing the transition and supporting their rebranding effort, I moved to a social service nonprofit to support their digital marketing efforts. After leading social media strategy, working on a new web site and supporting board relations for the executive director, budget cuts led to staff reductions and the elimination of my position at GMCC. I applied my passion for learning to support schools and build the institutional business that supports store operations while at Barnes & Noble. My growth focused on the entire sales cycle with corporations, schools, and arts and literacy groups to grow revenue and inspire learning.My passion for sales and the art of the printed book has continued to grow at The Quarto Group. I grew the specialty sales channel by building relationships with and marketing to wholesalers, gift shops, museums, and online retailers. I now focus sales efforts in the mass market channel with retailers like Target, Costco, Whole Foods and more.
