Currently, as the Technology Research Specialist, I research activations that have a technology component. This requires me to constantly update myself on the technology industry, and it’s cross with the entertainment industry. Previously, as the Activations Researcher, I was responsible for researching festival add-ons, such as inflatables, art walls, or interactive sponsorships, and bringing them to the Syracuse University campus.

University Union is the official student programming board at Syracuse University and holds numerous large-scale events throughout the school year. As an event promoter, I worked with the marketing team for promotional materials and communicated with other campus organizations to inform them on film events that were relevant to their interests.As a film series coordinator, I was in charge of contacting studios to see which new advanced screenings could be ordered, providing exclusive opportunities for students to see movies early. I also hosted weekly screenings of movies, enriching student experience by providing a fun and relaxed environment.

I utilized databases such as Nielsen Music Connect, Spotify Analytics, and iTunes Connect to extract streaming data. My main role was to take this data, and use it to project streaming metrics for artists. Useful insights were derived to inform financial, client relation, and various other decisions. Additionally, I assisted in playlist curation and pitching artists to digital streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.

I researched brand sponsors of student entrepreneurship, from direct investments by brands to corporations sponsoring pitching events.At SXSW, I acted as a judge liaison for two sessions of the Student Startup Madness live pitch event. I was responsible for keeping the judges on schedule and managing their equipment.
