His writing has appeared in Barron’s, and the Wall Street Journal.Earlier Ashton served as Senior Editor of Chief Executive Magazine, managing a large staff and interviewing CEOs of TIAA/CREF, MetLife, Rothschild, SONY and Pete Peterson of Blackrock. He co-authored a study of Corporate Social Responsibility, after serving as Scholar in Residence at ARCO in Los Angeles. He was a Full Professor and Associate Graduate Dean at the Univ. of Massachusetts in Amherst, focusing on Business and English. He authored a scholarly study, a textbook and numerous professional articles. He has been a Visiting Prof., and holds a PhD (honors) and MA from Columbia and a BBA from CUNY Baruch.
