In the summer of 2014, I worked as an intern for Ryan Homes. My position consisted primarily of production tasks such as, scheduling sub-contractors, Managing sub-contractors and labor crews, minor accounting tasks (assisting with invoices, finding variances within budgets), and minor communication with clients/homeowners. I also spent a few days in sales working with a team of sales representatives, and spent one day with the costing manager. This summer internship position greatly benefited my time management, communication and quantitative skill sets.

While in school, I worked for Quality Builders of Northern Virginia for 5 years on and off. Throughout my employment with Quality Builders I handled many tasks within the organization. The biggest every day task was applying intermediate/advanced carpentry skills on site to the task at hand. Other tasks I handled throughout my employment consisted of minor accounting such as assisting in employee payroll and purchasing of materials through vendors, I also developed skills in material estimates to assure that inventory matched the necessary tasks.

Lorton, Va

My responsibilities as a quiznos member include tasks such as, dealing with customer service, minor accounting tasks such as balancing/closing the cash register and taking inventory of supplies and materials. My responsibilities at Quiznos were not extensive, nonetheless they definitely helped build a solid foundation in customer service, and customer interactions.
