While working as the Ammunition Chief for the Basic School, I was responsible to the Ordnance Officer for the accountability of the Marine Corps’ third largest training ammunition account valued at over 33 million dollars consisting of 144 plus line items. Responsible for a team of 12 ammunition technicians who assisted in the safe delivery and recovery of ammunition assets used during local training events in support of the Basic Schools training mission. Forecasted expected ammunition expenditures to higher echelons to ensure assets would be available to the local commanders during their training evolutions. Advised the Commanders and their staff on best practices in ammunition safety and accountability.

During my first enlistment in the USMC, I was assigned to Ammunition Company, 2nd Supply Battalion for duty as an Ammunition Technician. Was assigned temporary duty with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit where I deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and in support of Hurricane Katrina relief. Worked with a team that supported units with their ammunition requirements, storage of assets and in the accountability of the MEU ammunition assets while deployed to Iraq. Severed as the Armory Chief. While assigned as the Armory Chief during Hurricane Katrina relief. Was accountable to the Commander for the accountability and physical security of all assigned weapon systems. After redeployment to Camp Lejeune I returned to Ammunition Company where and served as a Storage Section head and Platoon Sergeant. Managed the day to day operations of my assigned storage section by leading a team in the safe and accurate storage of ammunition.
