The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme is a government-backed scheme aiming to bring together businesses with the UKs world class universities to deliver innovation projects led by inspired graduates.My specific KTP is a research and innovation based role in which I lead a project team to implement a manufacturing system for the production of high-throughput, personalised liposomal nutritional supplements. Within this role I have created novel techniques for liposome production and designed a manufacturing system capable of producing small runs of personalised supplement drinks.Communication and leadership are key drivers to the success of this role. The project team consists of people from across the business including management, R&D, quality assurance, production, engineering, and marketing. I provide project leadership and regular updates to each of these teams, who have differing requirements and technical knowledge, ensuring the project vision is clear and understood, and that the project is driven to completion.
