Lead Tutor for HBXL's Skills Academy. Running government funded Skills Boot-camps, Part of the Skills For Life campaign, across CAD and Estimating, helping people break into the construction industry or up skill within. I'm responsible for designing large parts of the course content and delivering to a wide range of groups, as well as supporting the learners and my fellow tutors. Along with the delivery of course content, I cover the ongoing support of learners as well as final reviews and grading across the majority of our courses.This role entails working with a dedicated and capable team to ensure the functioning of the skills academy, where I have to ensure I do my part to the best of my ability to keep up with the rest of the amazing team.The courses have received large amounts of positive feedback and they continue to improve as I learn more and improve my own understanding or being a leader and supporter of learners.The Technical Specialist part of my role is a continuation of my technical team manager role, being the go to local resource for local technical needs. Can't escape being the tech guy once you've been there!
