Thomas Castor manuelthomascastor@gmail.com My names Tommy, I am master’s degree graduate in World History with additional backgrounds in research and writing, teaching, and archival preservation. As an undergraduate student at CSULA, I worked as a university student archivist, a museum teacher, and a graduate assistant. Presently, I am working as a museum teacher at up to 40,000 visitors a year. At California State University Los Angeles, I have worked in close partnership with professors as a Graduate Assistant responsible for the evaluation and grading of undergraduate History student assignments and exams, as well as providing students with the feedback and guidance needed to improve their performance in the classroom. My experience has helped me identify common areas that students from varied backgrounds need reinforcement and guided direction in, so that they may strengthen their writing and be better prepared for college. The diversity of classrooms, students, and institutions that I have worked with requires that I remain adaptive, communicative, and resourceful beyond the scope of the education field. These skills prove invaluable in any type of work setting and I look forward to building on these.
