After completing a post-grad Administrative residency at Baylor University Medical Center in 1985, I consulted for 900+ VHA Hospitals through its Enterprise Group, (Physician Services, Ambulatory Facilities, Practice valuation and HMO/PPO design). After a few years as a VP at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas (Strategic Planning and Physician Services), returned to VHA, Inc. managing $1B/$12B of Business Products and Services to 1,200 Hospitals; moved to Austin as COO of Cable Healthcare, bringing interactive services through the TV system to Baylor, Presbyterian in Dallas, then Mayo Clinic, Cedars Sinai, Baptist Memphis, then sold to Hospital Corporation of America; afterwards I was the Regional Director over Sales and Operations for ServiceMaster for 5 years - TX and OK.When Aramark bought the Healthcare Division of ServiceMaster in 2001, I joined a cleaning company I started in 1998 to lead and grow it (locally) to 2 MM square ft/night, to spend time with my two children while in the latter part of Middle and High School before they went to college. After selling it in '06, I moved back to Dallas to be close to my wife's family.I went back into Healthcare there with Avidyn Health, (acquired by Optum Health shortly afterwards, a United Healthcare division) as a Director over Managed Care Services. Next, a Corporate Director for FMS, a management company for 27 Home Health and Hospice agencies, including developing a Registered Dietitian company for one of the owners on a contract basis for 18 months, to conduct Medical Nutrition Therapy to Medicare patients in their home. After starting up Novus Healthcare in 3 states over a 3 year period, I accepted the current COO position with HRA-IQ PC, another company in the Medicare AWV/HRA healthcare space, partnering with the Founder of Minute Clinic.
