Currently, my role at Hifi Engineering touches on all facets of our optical technology. This includes working with our fiber optic sensor suppliers, improvements related to our current interrogator technology, improvements to our sensor network technology, and development of new fiber optic technologies to improve Hifi's distributed sensing intelligence. Operationally, my team is currently focused on increasing our manufacturing capacity and efficiency, as well as improving our sensor network design process to be more agile and simpler to execute and optimize.

This role had two major functions. The first was the management of operational optical requirements. In the operational portion of the role, I was responsible for leading a small team through the overall design, construction, and pre-deployment testing of Hifi's optical sensor network solutions, being sensitive to requirements of internal and external stakeholders. My team and I were also tasked with supporting deployed equipment and providing performance assessments and operational recommendations when required. The second portion of this role focused on design improvements for our system components, including for our fiber optic sensors, our optoelectronic interrogators, as well as for our fiber optic signal networks, with the goals of improved performance and lowering costs.
