Recruited to lead on Public Health marketing and communications. Produced behaviour change campaigns using traditional and new media: social media and social media advertising, brand management, PR, media relations. Also oversaw the reimplementation,expansion and management of the council’s email communications management platform.Accomplishments and responsibilities:● Ran a long term behaviour change campaign called the ‘Year of Wellbeing,’ which boosted the wellbeing of 3,500 people during pandemic targeting groups most affected by it. Nominated as the Local Government Chronicle campaign of the year in 2023 and received two nominations for a Comms2point0 Unaward in 2022.● Launched a successful automated email campaign that helped 1,300 people to change behaviour and live a healthier life. 90% of survey respondents would recommend it.● Conducted a physical activity campaign that targeted inactive people and drove 6,000 people to events.● Positively influenced the perception of Telford and Wrekin as a place to be physically active. 92% of people who saw a campaign felt that Telford and Wrekin was a place to be physically active, compared with 60% who did not.● Delivered crisis communications in response to flooding and coronavirus – increased social media reach during this time by 200% and produced coronavirus email bulletin to 75,000 residents.● Organised an online petition and acquired 30,000 signatories for a public affairs campaign around a local hospital.● Participation in a social media rota that manages 8,000 comments a month.● Re-implemented and expanded the council’s email communications and drove the percentage of engaged subscribers from 58% to 87%.● Created a wordpress blog for Telford and Wrekin’s Public Health team.● Gave strategic advice to senior managers and politicians on a regular basis.● Managed significant budgets and worked with insight teams to deliver market research projects, monitor success and provide evaluation reports.

Recruited to manage and contribute to the production of content for Staffordshire County Council's communications channels, as well as manage and deliver integrated communications campaigns with the aim of enhancing the county council’s reputation, internally, locally, regionally and nationally.
