In my day job, I am the Executive Director of the Steel Valley Authority (SVA), the earliest and most innovative initiative fighting to restore manufacturing in Pittsburgh, the Commonwealth and the rust belt. I am also the Managing Director of Heartland Capital Strategies (HCS), a responsible investment network in the U.S. and Canada. I am also the author of "Up from Wall Street: The Responsible Investment Alternative" (Cosimo, 2009), and numerous other books, chapters and articles.In my night job, I am completing revisions on a non-fiction memoir with the working title "Magnolia-Ville." {Wherein the author comes of age in the Deep South in the early 1970sas a commune of gonzo, kudzu rebels in redneck country goes after a corrupt Georgia Vice Cop.}
