I am a detail-oriented and experienced data scientist trained in bioinformatics and statistics. I am adept at managing, curating, exploring, and creatively visualising big data using Python and R. I have a proven track record of scientific communication through different media including peer-reviewed publications, posters, and presentations at national and international conferences. I have worked collaboratively with industry contacts and led multinational teams to deliver on research goals resulting in 9 peer-reviewed publications. I hold a BSc and completed my Doctoral degree at the University of Montana researching gene expression during development. My postdoctoral training focused on genetic mapping, and genome sequencing, assembly, and annotation.I enjoy sailing, climbing, and mountain biking as well as woodworking and have recently finished building a wooden sailboat.
