The Blue Water Bridge Area Port of Entry is one of the busiest ports on the Northern Border. Located within Detroit Field Office, the Blue Water Bridge handles high volumes of passenger and commercial truck traffic. In addition to the Blue Water Bridge, the port includes an international rail tunnel, a vehicle ferry, and an international airport.I have 10 years experience inspecting travelers and cargo conveyances entering the U.S. I have extensive knowledge preparing criminal and immigration prosecution and removal cases and as a counter terrorism officer. At the Kingsville Border Patrol Station, agents operate one of the busiest traffic checkpoints in the nation. During the time I was assigned to Kingsville Station, agents apprehended thousands of undocumented immigrants and thousands of pounds of narcotics every year.I was routinely assigned to work the full range of duties in the Kingsville area of operations. These included: sign cutting and tracking, check point operations, highway patrol, criminal and immigration removal case processing, and several collateral duties as well. In the performance of these duties, I had the opportunity to routinely work side by side with specialized Border Patrol Teams (BORSTAR / BORTAC) state, and local law enforcment, and the National Guard. We routinely received air observational support from the Office of Air and Marine and various branches of the U.S. Military.I spent 5 and half years at the Kingsville Station in South Texas. My primary responsibility was mapping the water utilities of Naval Base San Diego. In the course of this project my teams collected approximately 3000 sets of coordinates using Trimble GPS. I was allocated two teams and four GPS units. This was a contract position creating a base map to serve as the platform for the Lansing's E-911 Emergency Dispatch system.Data for the project was compiled using ArcGIS and encompassed the counties of Ingham, Clinton, and Eaton, and all municipalities contained therein (including City of Lansing).My primary responsibility was creation and integration of an e911 base-map to be used by emergency services for the City of Lansing and surrounding Ingham County area.
