Oak Ridge National Laboratory Chemical Sciences Division - Implemented kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) simulations of complex chemical reaction networks for simulation of temperature programmed desorption and steady-state conditions as part of a multi-scale modelling effort- Developed an algorithmic approach to overcome stiffness in KMC simulations of complex chemical reaction networks to efficiently obtain steady-state outcomes- Designed a statistical technique to accurately detect true steady-state in a chemical reaction network, allowing high efficiency for running mass numbers of KMC simulations in a cluster environment- Developed a new methodology for deriving a generalized functional form for the adsorption isotherms of molecular and dissociative adsorption of polar molecular species on polar surfaces with different geometries- Utilized the python programming language to overcome computational challenges
