I am a lead data scientist for the US Government supporting three teams that analyze satellite platform collections over three different regional areas. Since 2022, I have developed or modified 30+ Python/SQL scripts to streamline data conditioning, analysis, and visualization utilizing Jupyter Notebook and Databricks. The utilization of Jupyter Notebook and Databricks software applications has allowed me to streamline data conditioning and facilitate the whole of US federal government with access to analytic and visualization tools via Excel, Tableau, and GIS Online Portal. All three analysis and visualization applications allow consumers to conduct independent data analysis including statistical analysis to spatially visualize trends of activities over areas of interest. The efforts I made also include leveraging GIS tools via ArcPro to build or modify existing file geodatabases to provide up-to-date baselines over areas of interest that allow consumers to conduct data analysis with current and relevant data holdings. As of 2023, I began to incorporate machine learning with unsupervised and supervised algorithms to detect patterns of life over all three regional areas via AWS, Apache Spark, and other proprietary applications that will further facilitate consumers across the US federal government with identifying and developing models of individual and group activities to improve spatial and predictive analysis over areas of interest.
