MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AS PURCHASE OFFICER• Managing and controlling all the external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of automotive spare parts.• Ensure parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and available to boost the sales and generate profitability.• Identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and annual rebate schemes.• Foster close working relationships with associated departments eg. Sales, Engineering, Accounts, Logistics, Supplier Production Facilities & Valued Customers Claims. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT• Continually improve purchasing methods and drive down external spending.• Comprehensive review of the Purchasing function and its methodology and identify and implement improvements. NEW PRODUCTS/PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT • Full involvement specifically with technical and sales departments on the evaluation of new and existing product and their successful integration to the production end of the business. This will include identifying current and future trends in the global market place. QUALITY ASSURANCE • Measure the quality of products using a pre-defined set of criteria.• Record information on products which do not conform to standards.• Create specification control charts based on the products they are sampling.• Involved in determining the quality standards which a product must meet.• Make suggestions as to how the quality control process can be improved.

Essential Duties:- Direct supervision of order selectors, loaders, forklifts, and/or other warehouse associates.- Counsel, advise, and instruct warehouse associates in related policies, procedures, safety training and productivity.- Conduct regular coaching and counseling with warehouse associates towards the overall objective of meeting or exceeding jointly established performance goals and related activities.- Responsible for the correctness of loads and making sure all product has been correctly received, slotted, and put away.- Supervise correct selecting of product, loading of trailers and proper handling of outgoing product for on-time departure of trucks. - Train employees and demonstrate associate duties, which requires lifting and /or moving up to 30 kgs occasionally up to 40 kgs. - Continuously stands for 8-10 hours or more per shift in order to oversee associate work and operational transactions.- Conduct staff meetings and training sessions for employees.- Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and orderly in compliance with Health Department, and UAE standards.- Provide appropriate training, retraining and corrective action to prevent injuries and accidents.- Perform administrative duties, such as completing reports, maintaining warehouse operations records, and filing reports.- Collaborate with other departments, vendors and customers.- Scheduling / maintaining resources / staffing.- Identify and remove operational barriers and seek feedback from employees (slotting issues, equipment, clerical, etc.). - Other additional duties assigned by the Operations Head.
