I find new ways of constructing products at as low prices as possible, and at the same time improving the quality and meeting customer demands.

I work with design and development of new products. I works as part of a product development team, and my responsibility area is the components for the furniture (e.g. hinges, drawer slides). Apart from new developments, I am also responsible for maintaining and improving the running range and making improvements on existing products. Our suppliers are based in China and Southern Europe. I am responsible of new supplier start-ups and continuously securing product quality through cooperation with suppliers and other IKEA units.The quality work when developing new products includes simulation, FEM-analysis, prototyping, testing and supplier inspections. As a project manager, I make the project plan and involve experts from various fields to secure the gates in the project. This way the quality of new products is secured all the way from concept to mass production.
