I worked as a digital project manager for 87AM, in an online capacity. My role required me to manage the social media page for one of 87AM's clients, across three platforms; Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I was tasked with answering enquiries and maintaining the pages after the COB in New York. This position has helped me to developed great digital literacy skills, whilst also allowing me to grow my communication and problem solving abilities as I dealt with an incredibly wide range of individuals on a daily basis.

I undertook an internship with TLA worldwide in their Melbourne Office, assisting with the International Champions Cup competition that run in Melbourne from the 23rd till the 29th of July. My role within this company was to help manage the social media side of this event; assisting with the formation of the ongoing social media content plan; contributing ideas for the ICC social media channels; posting as the official pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram; staying across all the relevant news; and assisting in the writing of media materials and briefing documents. This position helped me to develop invaluable experience in the events and marketing world as well as in running and developing a huge worldwide event that is ICC2016 in Melbourne. I will be able to take this newfound knowledge and apply it as I graduate and look to move into this industry in the future.

I undertook a 6 week summer internship with Bastion Collective, in their Melbourne and Sydney Offices. Over the course of the six weeks, I assisted in both their Government Relations (Bastion S+GO) and Marketing and Events Department (Bastion EBA). This position required me to contribute across a number of roles, including assistance in client acquisition and strategy planning, client research and proposals, report and event preparation, as well as sitting in on client meetings, among many others. This internship has helped to greatly broaden my knowledge and experience the real life marketing and event environments, and allowed me to obtain a much strong understanding of what it will take to make it in industry in the future.
