I served as the Executive Officer at one of seven Geospatial Planning Cells within the US Army. As the primary geospatial engineering asset for US Southern Command, the detachment generates, manages, analyzes, and disseminates geospatial data and coordinates with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Support Team, Army South headquarters, 31 partner nations and other geospatial teams to provide the Commanding General and subordinate units with accurate, timely, and responsive geospatial information across the US Southern Command Area of Responsibility

I lead a team of 31 Soldiers in executing large-scale combat operations in support of the Division fight, while managing over $13,000,000 worth of equipment. My primary objectives were to plan, resource, and execute training to prepare the platoon for a rotation to the National Training Center in 2023, to provide a proof of concept to Corps level leadership about the feasibility of a modern dedicated Port Construction and Repair asset in the US Army, and to complete their role as a reserve horizontal construction asset assigned to support US civil authorities.

I was responsible for the training, safety, development, and readiness of 19 Soldiers in low density, high specialization jobs, supporting Brigade and Division exercises including a rotation to the National Training Center and a homeland emergency response exercise assisting civil support agencies.
