About Thomas Mccarty
Over decades of work and following where my heart and opportunity have led, I have accumulated a quite varied skill-set. Earlier focus on culinary arts led to familiarity with creating just about anything in the kitchen, whether professionally or for fun and good living, and also to study and application of special diets and food-as-medicine. Studying herbs on my own for years led me to formal study of traditional Oriental medicine (TCM), including acupuncture and the whole range of other applications of that great, ancient medical system. I practiced at Crescenterra Health Center and Grand Avenue Natural Medicine Center for over three years, and am now practicing on a more modest home and house-call basis, working as a baker while I scout options in other parts of the state and country.Outside of work my passions are for books, biking, and music in no particular order.I deeply love training and empowering people in my life through sharing my experience whenever and however I can.
