Program manager owner for set top box models from conception to order fulfillment, including customer interface, engineering development (hardware and software), and mass production. Manages several teams and individuals consisting of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software developers, testers, and full ODM teams overseas. Key accomplishments include:Responsible for launching new IP set tops and cable unified gateways in Asia, Europe, and North/South America, including meeting all region specific certification, internal, and customer requirements.Successfully launches new IP set top boxes to market on time for 8 global customers at an annual sales rate of over 700,000 units/year.Manages four different products in various stages of development utilizing Cisco Product Development Methodology and Agile software development process.Directs product definition, product presentations, project budget management, schedule development, and risk management.Partners with entire offsite supplier team on a day-to-day basis, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and software to ensure projects meet customer requirements and milestones are maintained and on time. Developed product requirements for new large scale thin film solar panel capital equipment by working with an internal cross function team, including systems engineering, marketing, and operations to ensure requirements were met and delivered on time. Key accomplishments include:Partnered with engineers in Asia to develop optimized Solar Thin Film factories, identify root cause issues during installation of new lab facilities in Xian, China and use the 8D method to implement solutions to meet lab startup timeline.Managed equipment supplier from project conception and specification generation in Europe though to full production transition to low cost (Asia) manufacturing facilities. Maintained global supplier schedules by identifying critical path deliverables and driving towards completion of project remotely.Presented to senior management on status of product development and identified areas of risk to completion of product on time and within specification.Defined specifications and proposals for highly reliable thin film solar encapsulate delivery and processing equipment.Collaborated remotely with onsite personnel at factories in Europe and Asia to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults, meeting on time factory signoff under an extremely aggressive schedule.

Achieved employee of the quarter award in Q2 ’08 for commitment to developing material handling machinery at supplier site in Europe during a two month period.Defined the ERP system/interfaces to be used in Solar Business Group for engineering, purchasing, logistics and configuration.Established product release strategy/requirements for first large scale turnkey Solar cell factory at Applied Materials.

Coordinated all engineering change for the Rapid Thermal Annealing Key Product Unit utilizing in house personnel and offshore personnel in India. Developed manufacturing and testing strategies on new products, with an emphasis on Integrate to Order principles, increasing commonality between components to reduce cycle times and decrease manufacturing and materials cost. Also developed new contract manufacturers to reduce infrastructure requirements for NPI projects.Led engineering team to develop new product final test capabilities for entire Front End Products division.Built and troubleshot mechanical, pneumatic, gas and electrical systems on a new laser annealing tool while developing final test procedures for production.
