About Thomas Mcfarlane

I am a newly qualified doctor (Cambridge, 2022) currently completing the two year Foundation Programme at Peterborough City Hospital. I have particular interests in Psychiatry and General Practice/Family Medicine.Music is my other passion, and I am determined to maintain my Clarinet playing alongside my medical career. As a student in Cambridge I was very active on the music scene. I held one of the University's prestigious Instrumental Awards for Chamber Music, playing in Mamedmus Trio with piano and cello and was Principal Clarinet of the flagship Cambridge University Orchestra in 2019-20. I also played with many other orchestras in the city (incl. CUMS Sinfonia, CUSO, The Empyrean Ensemble). Throughout my undergraduate studies in Birmingham I was Principal Clarinet of the UoB Philharmonic Orchestra, receiving regular coaching from CBSO players, and played in many other chamber groups.
