Determined concept design, feasibility and market potential of new automotive applications using chrome plated plastic. Developed part design guidelines for flexible chrome grilles. These patented guidelines created revolutionary new exterior styling design alternatives.Created a multifunctional team to prove out chrome plated plastic in automotive door hardware applications. This led the award of 7 interior & exterior door handle programs and resulted in new engineering standards at Ford and other OEMs. Designed assemblies using chrome plated plastics for use in impact areas, to replace diecast and stamped metal applications. Applications included flexible grilles, bumper trim and door hardware. Resulted in $8 million/yr of new business for the Ford Explorer fascia & cladding.

Sold & managed over $50 million/yr. in automotive exterior trim programs. Quoted new business and performed program/financial management functions. Negotiated pricing and customer performance specs for both new business and engineering changes.

Developed HIPP-140 a low cost, high impact, metal-plated plastic alternative to stainless steel stampings and aluminum & zinc die-castings. Automotive applications included: instrument & door panels, grilles, fascias and door hardware. Resultant sales of this PC/ABS material grew to $10 million/year

Developed an automated computer program to analyze various methods of converting non-economical stranded natural gas, which was typically flared, into liquid product that would be economically viable via transport with the crude.
