One of the main focuses of my current role is to drive the performance of my team to meet and exceed the set KPIs and SLAs in line with the department objectives. This has resulted in the department as a whole, being the top performing Client Service function within the business, for two years running. I put a lot of emphasis on coaching, supporting and motivating the specialists to help them achieve both personal and team development objectives. I have built and maintained strong relationships at all levels internally, and also with my client base. Particularly within this role, I have encouraged a culture of making the client and customer first priority and regularly put forward ideas for continuous improvement. I also played an instrumental part in successfully relocating and rebuilding the department when our head office relocated from Birmingham to our current location near Coventry.

I was a focal point liability administrator. This means working as part of a team supporting a number of departments including liability, corporate claims solutions and special investigations unit. My day to day role involved setting up and allocating new claims and incidents that could escalate into a formal claim. I would then be responsible for acknowledging brokers. Part of my job also includes chasing loss adjusters to make sure they are on track with their workload as well as occasionally making appointments on their behalf. During each day I was exposed to all types of claims, public and employer’s liability, fidelity guarantee, product liability and fraud. In this role it is imperative that I handled information sensitively as some of the claims we dealt with could be literally life and death.

I was responsible for signing off orders at the point of delivery, movement of equipment and materials and general Roofing and Cladding. This included laying roofs, fixing on front Cladding, Guttering, Fascia’s and Soffits. I felt very comfortable in this role working out on site again as my previous work experience had put me in good stead.
