Non-profit legal services organization dedicated to providing legal training, advice, referrals and representation to low-wage workers through collaboration with worker organizations in MA, RI and CT.

Skadden Fellow/Employment Attorney. Selected as one of 36 law school graduates (and other first-time practicing attorneys) nation-wide to receive a two-year fellowship to perform a public interest legal project. Worked in the GBLS Employment Unit implementing project to support Boston-area immigrant worker centers. Participated in semi-monthly meetings with the Immigrant Worker Center Collaborative. Developed and facilitated trainings for workers. Advised direct action campaigns. Directly represented workers in unemployment and wage and hour cases, including administrative agency and federal court appearances. Advised and/or referred workers in other employment and immigration matters. Awarded MassCOSH's Health Tech/Legal Champion Award for 2010.

E.S.L. Teacher. Attended course in E.S.L. pedagogy/methodology. Crafted and taught a community center E.S.L. course as well as an "Involving Poetry in the E.S.L. Classroom" lesson to other teachers. Initiated, constructed and performed an E.S.L. course in an elementary school and provincial jail. Tutored in a girls' orphanage.
