These materials range from metals and plastics, to crystalline ceramics and glass. I am required to understand how the various materials interact with each other and what methodologies are applicable to their respective uses within out systems. I am able to recommend alternative materials or devise creative processing solutions when problems occur. I am responsible for the design and development of fabrication processes and fixtures for devices and vehicle both large and small, from individual elements to large arrays. I develop and revise highly precise standardized procedures that allow for repeatability and follow a Lean Manufacturing paradigm. I systematically reduce a complex system to simple parts/steps that allow for in-situ testing and evaluation.
