As the Employee Development Leader, I am responsible for leading the development, delivery and administration of all learning programs for Burkville exempt and non-exempt employees. Employee development encompasses training on technical skills and leadership skills for all employees on the site. This position leads 7 trainers who manage the qualification/certification programs for all operators.

Maxwell Afb, Al

Supports the group commander in providing community support for 12,500 military, civilian and contract employees associated with Air University, the 42d Air Base Wing, the 908th Airlift Wing and 40+ tenant units at Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex. He is a principal advisor to the commander on all issues concerning the readiness, health, morale, welfare, quality of life and training for seven diverse squadrons, divisions, and flights in support of the Air and Space Expeditionary Force construct.

Directed AFEHRI operations, short and long term planning, policy formation and implementation. Served as the principle advisor to Air Force senior leaders at all levels on enlisted heritage and history matters. Oversaw development of the heritage and history chapter of the Air Force Professional Development Guide. Managed the Air Force Enlisted Heritage Hall, a unique one of a kind museum, educating over 25,000 visitors annually on Air Force enlisted history. Was responsible for providing enlisted heritage and history curriculum and academic support to over 50,000 in-resident and distant learning students of the Air Force Senior NCO Academy, 11 NCO Academies, 67 Airman Leadership Schools, and the Paul H. Lankford Enlisted Military Education Center.

Assisted the Director in providing expert combat support, community service and personnel support to meet USAFA’s mission of producing leaders of character. Provided policy oversight and management of base services to include lodging, dining, mortuary affairs, child development, fitness, cadet support, Airman Professional Development, and family support for the active duty, dependent, civilian and cadet population. Along with the Director and FSS flight chiefs, was responsible for all base-level personnel actions for 4,000 military, appropriated and non-appropriated personnel and for managing quality of life programs and providing oversight of accounting support and financial management services for five base Non-appropriated Fund Instrumentalities (NAFIs) with a combined annual revenue exceeding $31 million. Advised, developed, prepared and sustained a combat-ready Total Force and supports worldwide wartime/contingency tasks

Developed formal strategic plans and directed all aspects of the academy's daily operations. Implemented and formulated AF and higher headquarters policies and programs. Analyzed institutional effectivenss and readiness and developed strategies to correct any deficiencies noted. Managed manpower, equipment, facility resources and annual budget of $96K.
