Managed the Graphic Systems Support group, (5 direct reports), providing printing production system support, troubleshooting, annual upgrades and installations for Printing and Publishing Division Plants. Acted as main engineering interface for the day to day plant support issues resolution and collaborated with Printing Manufacturing Management and the Manufacturing Technology Team to assure that production requirements were being met. Oversaw the architecture of the Plant Production networks, systems and servers; coordinating with Manufacturing, RD&E, and IS to assure that manufacturing systems met all requirements needed for reliability, standardization, migration and scalability. Planned and executed annual system upgrades, new process implementations and cost improvement opportunities. Planned and administered the GSS Department budget, printing division training budget and collaborated with corporate purchasing for budgeting of annual upgrades for capacity and replacement needs.

Introduced High-Resolution Imaging and Color Management to founding partners of this start-up technology company as a basis for unique Soft Proofing application product development and a process patent. Developed documentation for software product design specifications, functionality, and user interface as well as hardware and network requirements. Recruited software developers and contracted development outsourcing. Coordinated product development, quality assurance testing, installation and hardware integration procedures. Implemented and managed information technologies, security policies, office systems/automation, backup and disaster recovery. Planned, negotiated, implemented and administrated Local and Wide Area Networks including Data Center/Collocation facilities. Hired and managed technical support, training and installation employees.

Established a subsidiary of Photon, Inc. dba: Digital Image Management to service Information & Business Systems customers with a specific focus on the publishing and electronic prepress industries. Recruited and managed sales/technical team personnel. Provided consultation, sales, configuration, installation and service for Windows and Macintosh based information systems. Provided turnkey information technology solutions for both large and small companies. Acted as consulting IT manager for a variety of customers. Assisted in planning and implementation of desktop, server and technical support solutions. Specialized in Color Management, Client/Server Publishing, Local and Wide Area Networking and Large Format Printing solutions.

Founded an independent photographic studio specializing in advertising and commercial photography. Created images of products, fashions, architectural and industrial locations. Focused on transition from traditional film based to digital photography. Continued operations as a film and digital photography service business managed by photographer/employees recruited following establishment of subsidiary Digital Image Management.

Coordinated and managed the production of photographic projects throughout the main and satellite studio facilities.
