Since my senior year of college I have been working in the higher education industry. First, I worked with a vendor who provided event and conferencing software to schools, retreat centers and other student / education oriented entities. During my time with Kinetic Software I learned valuable lessons about how to manage projects as well as the clients of a small start-up company. Without a big budget, the primary focus was to provide great support while being able to implement technologies on a budget. This "Budget" oriented theme became a focus that I have carried with me as a technology professional. Through my experiences in higher education I have been able to bring together both sides of management and information technology. My passion and drive has become project management along with business process analysis and re-design. I always strive to focus on making the product the best it can be for the best possible price. It is my belief that no company should "throw money" at a situation and that through planning and analysis of the situation, the best possible outcome can be had without a major economic impact. Outside of my primary employment, I also work as a Team Beachbody coach. Since 2012 I have been working to stay in shape and help others achieve their goals. Using the support system provided by being a coach, I have found myself surrounded by highly successful people who have taught me a lot about leadership. As a coach, I try to lead by example as I have lost 107lbs and live a lifestyle that maintains a balance between work and leisure.
