Design, pattern, construct, and fit/finish couture up-cycled garments. Created and maintained model/garment comp cards for NYFW as well as packing, moving, transportation, and care of runway garments. Responsible for the jewelry styling of 12 runway looks. Also responsible for the maintenance and continued design of brand website. Promoted to Head Web Manager. Created a new website for online publishing and to allow mobile compatibility. As a result student readership quadrupled and the commenting and engagement rate increased by a similar margin. Additional duties involved working directly with the editor in chief on creating solutions to issues that arose from rapidly expanding readership including faster server response times, more automated comment moderation, and more advanced and automated SSL encryption which lead to a 20% reduction in monthly work-hours.See below for duties.

Used Wordpress to build the student newspaper (The Collegian) website. This project included custom CSS and in-depth problem solving to meet the Editor-in-Chief’s specifications. Involved weekly article posting, comment moderation, and general website maintenance.

Created unique newspaper layouts for each weekly issue by leveraging the book function of Adobe Indesign to create a consistent layout theme across the design team.

Created an interactive training manual website. This achieved the goal of reducing staff training time and increasing information retention, while creating a repository for staff to reference in the futureBuilt a form for staff to collect patron space usage data 18 times daily and implemented a system to store the data within the library’s current software that allows for full statistical analysis. This anonymous data allowed the Library Director to provide university administration data to support staff retention. This data further allowed the library to adjust reference desk hours to better serve patrons and reformat physical spaces to best suit patron’s needs. Instructed students in basic knowledge of sewing machines, patterning and cutting, basic sewing stitches and seams. Given only a product sample I was able to assist students in the construction of a backpack. Coached and problem solved with students on design and construction providing requested design and style advice to students and using product sample to communicate detailed construction steps. Helped students learn through experience and mistakes. Clearly communicated with professor. Developed new skills to assist students when my knowledge was lacking demonstrating adaptability and initiative.

Ensured the safe, clean, and efficient preparation, service, and clean up of meals for more than 300 people 7 days a week. Directed a staff of 15 teenage employees including interpersonal management, employee initiatives (staff waterski night, staff movie nights, evening staff retreat), and task assignment. Participated in and communicated with other department heads at daily leadership team meetings. Worked directly with Food service director to maintain a healthy and functioning program for all kitchens (5) across camp. Retrieved camper allergy and dietary restriction information and created and implemented plans to accommodate including limiting cross contamination, preparing additional substitutions, and working with camper's counselor to facilitate camper's needs outside of scheduled meal times.Created a baking class program for campers where campers came to the kitchen after the evening program to learn to bake cookies.
