At Innovative Laser Technologies I used Solidworks to design and manufacture custom laser system for the medical device industry. I took part in design review meetings and customer conferences for project status updates. Also, having the opportunity to lead a project to improve efficiency of mechanical design for beam delivery operations. Consistently had to collaborated with a group of electrical, software, manufacturing, and mechanical engineers to design and manufacture custom laser systems tailored to the customers request. This position required strong attention to detail while creating engineering drawings to ensure tolerances were met by machinist or fabricators and assemblies were clear to the manufacturing technicians. I was constantly challenged to problem solve and make adjustments while under pressure when unforeseen conditions arise while still making project deadlines.

I was responsible for managing projects: starting with the project proposals of pricing materials and labor, to creating detailed drawings using AutoCAD for customer approval, then ordering of materials, tho finally completion and delivery of the final product while keeping in regular contact with the customer. This expanded my knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes while constructing products for the mining industry. Also, I worked closely with fabricators on the shop floor to verify work is to a high standard and up to date on the project timeline.
