Digital health startup using a mobile app, fitness tracker, continuous glucose monitor (CGM), and a novel AI model to predict onset glucose excursions and address with behavioral and exercise based recommendations. Primarily used to address infertility issues in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Led grant funded R&D of a continuous non–invasive real–time glucose sensor wearable while managing five undergraduates and one masters student. Performed early-stage core biomedical & sensor manufacturing research, microcontroller/embedded software development, wearable product design, and companion iOS app development.Piloting Research Innovation & Market Exploration (PRIME) grant funded by UW-Madison Discovery 2 Product (D2P) in collaboration with the Andrews Lab for Printed Electronics and Sensors with Dr. Joseph Andrews.

Co-founded a medical software startup leveraging AI & thermal imaging to allow clinical decision support for diabetic foot ulcer treatment. Short-term development of a mobile remote patient monitoring system; long term research in ML methods for an in-clinic diagnostic device.Led product development, business/fundraising, and research areas; represented company in all medical contexts including patient/physician interviews and regulatory/reimbursement related planning. Wrote a NIH Phase I STTR grant in collaboration with UW-Madison and 12+ podiatrists local to Madison, WI.

Designed and assembled a magnetic nanoparticle imaging (MPI) setup to aid in recording local neural activity. Involved with idea generation, CAD modeling of testing fixtures, bench-top testing. Combination of physics (electromagnetism), mechanical, and electrical engineering design principles.Under Dr. Aviad Hai & Ilhan Bok.

Developed a machine learning model to analyze a large thermal image dataset of diabetic feet, goal to research novel single foot detection parameters and longitudinal predictors for ulceration risk. Primarily worked on a foot segmentation Mask R-CNN model to isolate temperature data and perform feature extraction. Worked on first-authored a paper describing our preliminary models; co-authors include researchers at UW-Madison, Stanford, and the Madison Veterans Hospital. Research presented at INFORMS conference in Anaheim, CA among other undergraduate research/business competitions.Spun research into a startup (Solis) & wrote STTR grant alongside the A4HD Lab in collaboration with local podiatry clinics and the Madison Veterans Hospital.Under Dr. Justin Boutilier.

Assisted in the design and development of an affordable, effective, and durable solar-powered air filtration device for household use in sub-Saharan Africa to help promote clean air and reduce adverse health threats from indoor air pollution. Design made it as a semi-finalist in the RICE 360 Undergraduate Design Competition. Under Dr. Ryan McAdams.

Assisted in the fabrication of a microfluidic in vitro lymphatic vessel model and cell culture of lymphatic lumens. Performed core research on T-cell migration dynamics using fluorescent microscopy and image tracking software.Under Dr. Sheena Kerr & Dr. Jose Ayuso.

Performed CAD modeling and updated drawings of automated flow sampling product encasing. Developed an early design and prototype of a new fluid pump product line. Led the company transition to 3D printing for product parts; included the build and implementation of both FDM & SLA printing methods.
