The main purpose of this role initially was to support and ensure a successful launch of the Eclipse Underwriting platform within Markel. This included responding to queries in relation to application functionally, investigating and raising product issues with the vendor and creating and deploying data fixes to the system. The role has evolved to include management of the day to day support and maintenance of the application. In addition I have been involved in numerous process improvement projects in relation to the underwriting platform based on both waterfall and agile project methodologies.

To include processing of Risk/Claim/Reinsurance entries, reporting, business workflows and application security.Utilising and developing ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ processes for various workflows within the company to drive out configuration requirements.Working to Markel’s ‘ImpleMINT’ project methodology – based on best practice from Prince2.To undertake hands-on configuration of the Eclipse Underwriting application in order to support a successful implementation. To provide ongoing Eclipse Underwriting configuration maintenance support and analysis.
