Tim is an Associate employed in the Planning, Development and Regeneration business unit. He specialises in development control activities but also has extensive experience in a range of policy-related work. His workload includes responsibility for the day to day management of a number of individual instructions, including the preparation and submission of a range of planning applications, preparation and submission of representations in response to emerging policy documents, undertaking appraisals of sites to determine their planning potential, and preparation and submission of appeals.Tim advises a wide range of clients on Town Planning issues affecting their land and property interests, ranging from private individuals to developers, Government agencies and blue chip companies. His key clients include Loughborough University, Jelson, William Davis Ltd, Walsall Council, Corus, Barnardo’s and Vee Bee.

Tim was employed as a Planning Officer in the Development Control Section of Stoke on Trent City Council. During his time at Stoke he dealt with a range of major planning applications including residential and commercial schemes. He provided advice on development proposals and site suitability, processed applications for planning, advertisements, listed building and conservation area consents, negotiated S106 planning agreements and dealt with a range of planning appeals.The post also called for extensive involvement in prior notifications and applications for telecommunications development, from pre application discussions with developers, through to representing the Council at meetings with local interest groups.

Tim was employed as a Planning Officer in the Development Control Section of Newcastle Borough Council. During his time with the Authority he acted as case officer on numerous residential and commercial schemes.The post also called for extensive involvement in enforcement matters, from initial investigations through to formal action where necessary. He regularly represented the Authority at public meetings and exhibitions and was involved in the conception and development of Keele University Science Park in Newcastle under Lyme
