Tim has more than 15 years international oil and gas experience, primarily focused on the delivery of exploration, appraisal, development and gas storage projects. Until recently he was a Specialist Geophysicist (secondee) within ADNOC's SARB & Umm Lulu offshore concession.Tim gained his Petroleum Geoscience Master’s degree from Royal Holloway, University of London with Distinction, while working for a UK-based North Sea operator. Here, he spent five years working on a variety of development and appraisal projects in the Southern Gas Basin, the Viking Graben and the East Irish Sea.He then moved to Perenco, another London-based international operator, where he worked as the lead geophysicist on a number of offshore exploration and appraisal projects in Gabon, West Africa. During this time, Tim gained exposure to several offshore seismic reprocessing projects, aimed at improving seismic quality along the highly deformed and salt-dominated North Gabon Margin. Tim was also the lead geophysicist on a significant oil discovery in the North Gabon Basin.Since joining CEPSA, Tim has primarily worked as the lead geophysicist in the UAE New Business group. He played an integral role in the assessment of several onshore and offshore opportunities in Abu Dhabi and the successful award of the SARB and Umm Lulu production licenses.Most recently, Tim has joined the SARB Field Development team within ADNOC Offshore as a secondee. Since joining, he has supported the delivery of multiple complex development wells and completed a field-wide seismic inversion study to help delineate preferred drill locations.Tim is a highly experienced user of Petrel for seismic interpretation and structural model building and HampsonRussell for seismic inversion and quantitative analysis.Beyond Geophysics Tim has a keen interest in statistical analysis and data science and has attended numerous courses and seminars. He has also completed an executive education course in Data Science from Berkeley, University of California. Tim has a working knowledge of the Python programming language and Jupyter notebooks.
