Over the years I have had the opportunity to share my life story of overcoming physical barriers with businesses, groups, organizations, churches, etc. My message is one of adaptation, overcoming hardship, and beating the odds. My story is about growing up in rural Kentucky, joining the Marines, then suffering the loss of use of my right arm during a horrific motorcycle wreck. It is a story of rising above pain, loss, then overcoming many physical barriers. Also, my story includes the importance of having a sense of humor. At one point, while competing in archery competitions, I became a nationally ranked archer by shooting the bow with my teeth. In 1995, I became the Host/Producer of 'Kentucky Afield TV', the oldest outdoor television show in the nation. As the Host, I was honored to receive 5 Emmys over the years. Four years ago my love of cooking led me to host and produce 'Tim Farmer's Country Kitchen,' now a local and national TV show about cooking, gardening, canning, farming and life in the country.
