While working as a managing consultant at Magnus, I was the project manager / architect on multiple software projects for our international clients while simultaneously developing and improving the Mendix development department. This included setting up and maintaining development guidelines, improving the overall recruitment process, hosting job interviews, providing career counselling and evaluating the performance of development teams. Projects typically involved the development of enterprise IT business applications. Integration with other systems and data providers, analysis of business processes and supporting the client to successfully implement the desired changes into the organisation were key parts of the process. I acquired and maintained C-Level connections in the meantime, eventually serving as a trusted advisor to many of them. As part of this position I have also been working in Tokyo for 6 month’s researching marked conditions and the feasibility of starting a branch in Japan.

As an interim project manager / software engineer I was responsible for the architecture and development of a new farm automation product line. Microfan wanted to reposition itself in the market with a new product that was modern, easy to use and available from any location. After defining specifications, overall architecture and a product road-map with the director, I got involved in selecting adequate hardware components and software frameworks, setting up a development team with existing resources and managing project progress. The result was a new product line called AGROS that included a touch screen terminal, a Windows desktop application and a mobile web application.

Development and client implementations of a custom Content Management System based on ASP.NET technology. I also completed a large scale integration project to supply a client in the telecom sector with mobile phone specifications from a third party provider.

During my time at OrangeLeaF I developed CRM and E-commerce systems using Microsoft technology, including an award winning website for buying event tickets and the first online medical file service of the Netherlands.
