CurrentResponsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems that collect, process, store, and present data. Administer onsite servers and servers at remote sites to ensure adherence to change and incident management processes.Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, monitor and tune performance for Windows Server operating systems, utility software and server hardware including installing patches and corrective service.Provide support for problems escalated from the IT Services Service Desk and other groups. Works to find and document a root cause analysis. Provide hands-on support and engineering work in the Windows server environment.Assist with server patching to ensure all systems are patched and protected.Perform server administration functions such as scripting, group policy development and implementationsPerform account audits, log reviews, system file audits, patch audits, service audits. Review results of such reviews and audits with the lead engineer.Remove unnecessary and unwanted files, applications, services and accounts. Document all such activity in a systems change log.Participate in research and development projects within organization to assist in overall improvement and optimization of environment.Assist with administration of Active Directory 2012 environment.Participates in and documents disaster recovery testing.Admin for Helpdesk ticketing application (EasyVista), Server backup application (Rapid Recovery), User Rights management tool (UMRA), Web Filter application (BlueCoat), Email (Office365), and File sharing (Box)
